Consultations are available at our Long Beach and Garden Grove offices for children, teens, and adults. Here is what happens at the visit and how to get ready.

Dr. Thao Nguyen Vu and Dr. Judy Nguyen are board-certified orthodontists. The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) notes that the best way to get an accurate cost is an evaluation by a qualified orthodontist, and that most AAO orthodontists offer low-cost or free first consultations.
What Fees You Will Hear About
Bloom's published fee ranges are clear aligners $3,500 to $6,000, clear braces $4,000 to $5,500, lingual braces $4,000 to $6,000, traditional metal braces $3,500 to $5,500, adult orthodontics $3,500 to $6,000, teen orthodontics $3,500 to $5,500, and Phase 1 treatment $2,500 to $3,500. At the consultation, your orthodontist narrows that to your exact fee.
Do You Need a Referral?
Children can see us without a dentist referral. The AAO also says parents do not need to wait for a dentist's referral to schedule an orthodontic evaluation, and recommends a first checkup no later than age 7.
What to Bring
- Your dental insurance card, so we can verify your benefits before your first appointment
- HSA or FSA account details if you plan to use them
